Social Economy, the future of Europe

In May, the Social Economy is on the spotlight in Strasbourg. On May 5th and 6th, a European Conference on “Social Economy, the Future of Europe” will take place in the framework of the French Presidency of the EU Council. Euricse is involved in co-organisation of multiple sessions at the conference.

Euricse will participate in many sessions on various topics: social innovation and best practices in Europe, public policies and the role of cooperative mutuality, transition pathways for the industrial ecosystem of the social and proximity economy, and the workshop dedicated to the European project BWise, that is a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme, which aims to develop a European strategy to address the skills needs, in particular regarding digital skills, in the Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs) sector.

The panels in which Euricse is involved:

The Secretary General of Euricse Gianluca Salvatori will participate at the debate to take a closer look at innovative initiatives and practices in Europe (May 5th from 15:30 to 17:30). On the next day he will be a speaker first in the workshop focused on public policies (May 6th from 09:15 to 10:45) and later in the workshop focused on Transition Pathway for the Proximity and Social Economy Industrial ecosystem (May 6th from 11:15 to 12:30). 
In parallel the senior researcher Giulia Galera will present the results of the B-WISE project  by giving an overview of the WISEs ecosystem in Europe with a legal and economic perspective in another workshop (May 6th from 11.00 to 12:30).
